I was reading the article about o’mealy reeds oro the srs journals. It spoke about putting wire in the staple to decrease its volume, but if this was overdone the chanter wouldnt play above A. I have a chanter exhibiting this exact problem. I have no wire in the staple. Can I assume that the staple is too narrow or is this wishful thinking?
