Based on what I know about physics I’m not following Mr Furey’s reasoning regarding the main stock either. My own logic conclusions would actually be the other way around, better with wood than metal. But as Mr Furey has about 50 more years of experience than I have, I guess the many empirical studies has provided him with knowledge that I yet have to learn.

yep , something with it, but still quite not understand thermal conductivy issue,… i think that temperature of the air in bag same as the temp around when we use bellows
well… perhaps we turn to wooden ones …
Wooden stocks may be the innovation of the century. I hope they catch on
