Speaking of Cthulhu:

Received this in an email today:

http://www.cthulhulives.org/Solstice/

Just thought I’d pass it on for those of you feeling left out by all the usual expressions of this joyous season.

I wasn’t able to get that link to work - but I went to the main page and then clicked on the CD, and it went here: http://www.cthulhulives.org/Solstice/index.html

Don’t have time to listen to them though - we can’t open the presents until after my mother-in-law is here and after we eat lunch (husband’s orders.) So I have to go in and take care of the food.

I already let our daughter open a present from her friends and one from us - I don’t like this business of waiting until 2 or 3 in the afternoon to see what you have, and then having to be so super careful about not tearing the paper so it can be reused. I’m ripping this year and I don’t care WHAT my MIL says - it’s my house too!

He’s making a list
and checking it twice…

Isn’t that Admiral Akhbar?
Any relation to Davy Jones…?

Not Akhbar, not Davy Jones…
I must be thinking of Zoidberg.

Awesome!

Thanks for that link. I love anything to do with Cthulhu.

I’m sure Cthulhu would rip and tear, and would approve of you following his example, too.

I don’t know much about the Cthulhu mythos, but I may be much older than the old ones. My step mom took us all to a councilor who uses an unusual technique to get rid of all the negativity you pick up in past lives. I am a skeptic, but I went along with it, anyway. She regresses you back in time to points before you had picked up the different spiritual neuroses she has categorized. I regressed back before the existence of this cosmos to a time in a previous cosmos before there was significant oxygen in the atmosphere of that cosmos’s Earth (I was cyanobacteria (blue-green algae)). Evil entities seem to avoid me, I take it even they respect their elders.

Did my tongue in cheek (the actual regressions did take place, but like I said, I’m a skeptic) mention of the regressions end the conversation?

I still have my WWCD bracelet. It’s about twenty years old now and what was once a black bracelet is now kinda orange-ish and splotchy… but, it hasn’t fallen off yet… and nor has my hand for that matter… fascinating…

Lord Cthulhu be praised, He has preserved your hand!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

SSsshhhhhhhhh!!! Let’s not tempt him. :open_mouth:

I keep telling you people, I worship the Flying Spaghetti Monster!

And, now, for you crafty sort:

He’s just marinating it for later.
