Can this location be reached by ferry?

Yes , best way would be Rosslare to Fishgaurd , then it’s approximately two hours from the ferry to the location.

Alternatively I’ve found these flights from Dublin to Cardiff and they are 5 euros going from Dublin and 7 euros going back from Cardiff plus taxes :

Hi there , hope all the reeds are behaving themselves. As part of our tionól and to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Holy Trinity Church , Tylorstown , South Wales Uilleann Pipers are holding a raffle in conjunction with the church. The raffle is kosher , registered with the council and not part of my regulator fund !

The price of a ticket is £1 , they come in books of 5. The prize is a winner takes all £50. If anyone is interested in buying a ticket and supporting us on our first tionol , please feel free to pm.

Mind you after reading the comments on "the Circle of Death " Tionól learning I’m now getting a bit worried

Also any money raised , once costs are covered are going to the church . We as a group of pipers are not interested in making money but just want to hold a tionól , break even and promote piping in Wales. Any questions about the tionól or the raffle please pm me . Cheers Mei

Hi everyone , just a quick line to bump this thread back up and to say that if anyone is interested in coming to the Tionól , concert and ceilidh please could they let me know. The concert planning is going well as is the session with the choir in the pub after the concert. There has been very little interest in the tionól. It’s definitely going ahead with however many numbers turn up but we may have to cancel some of the tutors depending on numbers. Cheers Mei

Well, as it turned out there were no problems with numbers!

It’s always a bit worrying when you organise something for the first time but I have to say that Meirion did a sterling job in arranging this day.

Really good acoustics, a constant flow of tea and coffee and lot’s of piping!

Here’s to next year!

That seems to be the real trick! We haven’t managed to break even yet, but five years into it all, we’re still having a blast! Cheers form the Salt Lake Piping Club

A significant success. Very well organised, well attended and a great way to get to play with many good pipers and make new friends. Mei can very proud of the whole event.

Thanks for all the kind words , really appreciated. The tionol was definitely a success , but the pipers who came made it the success it was. It was one that will be remembered for a long time. I’ve met plenty of people today who attended the concert and/or the session in the pub and they all can’t wait for next year !!

Did Buzz and Steve behave themselves

They were complete ambassadors and gentlemen !!

edited to spell !!
