okay, i think with all of the tionol and gathering activity this side of the mason dixon line, it may be time to organize into a single entity.
there have been several Florida Tionols, a few Mississippi Tionols, the desire for an Atlanta Tionol and a Nashville one… not to mention a Knoxville one in the works.

Following the west coast’s lead, and sharing the burden of hosting these damned things, why dont we discuss the formation of a SE pipers club with a roaming tionol? One year in florida, another year in TN, another year in GA… rinse and repeat as needed.
Kind of makes sense since the East Coast Tionol is not coming south this year either according to Susan… but we could have our own when the weather up there is poopy, and the weather down here is balmy.
Who is interested in doing something like this? I would hope that Lewis and the TN boys would be, as well as the Gary’s in GA? Pat Sky for president of the world up in Carolina… starting to sound like a Charlie Daniels song.
I remember the Tionol in Maine a couple of years ago when at a meeting, it was proposed to have the 2003 Tionol in North Carolina and one person spoke up saying " Who would go to North Carolina for a Tionol"? ". As you’ll recall it turned out to be was a great Tionol in Chapel Hill N.C.
Because of the distance to the present tionols from the Southern states, it cost about the same as going for a week at Elkins or Swannanoa.
So, I think you are on track with a South East Tionol.

Just coordinate it with the folks on the west coast and Minnesota; this could be the start of the traveling Pipers tionol. We could all chip in for a bus and just keep driving to the next event, kinda like the dead heads and the Grateful Dead…ooops, showing my age
I’m thinking this would be really cool, a large nationwide circut, in perpetual motion, following the seasons… sort of like the PGA with the West Coast Swing, then the Southern Swing…etc…etc…
John, I’m sure Snoogie and I could be ambassadors of the State of GA for the tionol circuit. We have a few pipers in GA. We are scattered around but the biggest concentration is Atlanta and that would be a great venue for a Tionol.
