Sort of OT? Whistle player in Master & Commander....

One of my strongest interests is in Nelsonic-era Naval history and literature (I’ve been very active on related message boards over the last few years, and some of the music I write and perform is related to that period in history…), so naturally I went to see Master & Commander today… I was very pleasantly surprised at all the music being played by the characters in it – not the least of which a whistle player! :astonished: :slight_smile: He got maybe 10 seconds of screen time, but sure enough, there he was… :slight_smile:

Did my heart good to see… :slight_smile:

My guess would be more like 3-4 seconds of whistle player.

The Uilleann pipes were on board the HMS Surprise as well…but you’ve got to have QUICK eyes to catch 'em!
