I have an update to my Electronic Songbook software.
There are no songs in the library on this version posted due to copyright regulations but the software that I wrote is free.
This software allows you to enter songs with guitar chords on lines above the words. The chord lines are marked at the end with a < symbol.
When you view the song, you can alter the key of the song instantaneously by a simply + or - button key or mouse click.
It also has a little program called “SERVER.EXE” (which I also wrote) that allows other musicians with computer to see the screen that you are viewing. When you turn the page, they see the new page. When you change the key, they see it. All you have to do is UNBLOCK the server program and they can access your IP address or your computer with a web browser. It only serves the page as index.html, so it prevents any break-in of the computer used as the server (the leaders computer).
Note: When you close the songbook program, you may have to shut the SERVER.EXE program down manually.
There is one example created by the program to help understand the chord entry.
Maybe someday I’ll figure a way to embed ABC notation into it as well.
