This is originally a song in Irish, “Amhrán na Leabhair.” I don’t know if someone translated just the title, or the words too, into English as Song of the Books. http://thesession.org/tunes/display.php/814 will give some of the story behind the song, also Seamus Ennis’s Pure Drop album.
