I remember a thread a while back that talked about accompanying songs with flute. I came across this and thought it a good example of the less is more school. The flute provides the introduction and then reenters at times to provide color to the sound. It certainly doesn’t try to compete with or overshadow the singer. Finally, it’s a beautiful traditional Italian song that, I think, is very nicely performed here.
