Something for the diddy box

I recently had to make a “field repair” on a set of leaking Scottish Smallpipe bellows. The leather itself was leaking through the pores (you can determine this by placing some moisture on the leather, holding the outlet hose closed and squeeze the bellows..if you see bubbles..this is BAD) anyways…I rummaged around the location until I found someone who had some “Burt’s Bees” hand salve in their bag. Lo and behold but darn it if it wasn’t JUST the thing. It did the trick PERFECTLY. Just rub a wee smidgen into the exterior leather of the bellows and voila. Nice, supple and airtight, with the added bonus that my hands were extra soft and I smelled like rosemary and comfrey.

:boggle:

Yes, I’ve heard of people getting comfy in rosemary … oops!
