Some fun with "If whistles were..." :)

So after yet another round of ‘what wistle will I like best’ this rather poetic quote from MT got me to thinking how best we might help people understand what different whistles are like, not by the traditional methods of describing how sweet they are , nor by how many brown paper bags I need to de-hyperventilate after playing ba-ba black sheep, but rather by the good old… “If whistles were…” analagy.

I guarantee I haven’t got MT’s skills with the pen or the whistle but i’ll have a crack. Anyone else care to join me…?

OK following in MT’s theme, If whistles were… LADIES IN MY LIFE.

(all, I apologise in advance, I have just read what I’ve written and it’s pants. But I have spent so long on it that I can’t not post it! So here it is…)

I’m at college and Christina Abell .. wow she’s hot. She’s always been the popular college girl, with her long blond hair and merry laugh. Everything about her is beautiful… thus placing her firmly out of my league. I swig my pint and realise that she is far too good for me, the only way I’m gonna get a girl like that is if I have loadsa money!!!

My current girl is pretty enough, a young exchange student from Japan, Jenny Susato. Her voice is like a bell, but GD is she is sooo giggly. I can hear her laugh all the way across the bar. Hope she doesn’t catch me staring at Christina.

I drift off into memory lane, thinking of those girls I knew in my earlier years - those Generations X’s who once had to put up with my fumblings while trying to figure out how to undo a bra with one hand, without really knowing what to do if I ever did manage it. Oh there were many a girl, some were pretty, some were pretty ugly, but they were all fun! (and cheap dates too if i remember right.)

I snap out of my daydreaming as “Gwendoline” Shaw comes over and says in a husky voice “honey, have you got a light for my cigarette”. A voice so sultry I wonder has she smoked one too many. Well Gwen turned out to be a real nice girl and we spent a lot of time together. She was soft and gentle, but a little quiet so took a lot of talking too when we were out. I had to make all the conversation. Quite the opposite of my ex, Jenny Susato where I couldnt get a word in edgeways.

Fast forward a few years, I’m in my mid 30’s. Cristina Abell is a distant memory, fading as fast as my dreams of making ‘loadsa money’. I’ve met a lovely lady called Jessica Sindt. Quite homely, and not too bad looking. Shes actually kinda pretty in the right light. But the best thing is she can cook, look after the bills, and she can sing too! Nice. She gets on with everyone and doesn’t embarrass me in public. My family like her. I think shes a keeper.

I’m looking forward to a long happy life with Jessica Sindt, love you Mrs Sindt. I’ll be happy with you forever, and I will never need another.

… but I wonder what Christina is up to these days, i wonder if she’s on facebook? Hmm maybe Jeny Susato is on it too. I’m wonder if Jessica will mind if I just get back in touch with some of my old “friends”.

Nicely written…although it made me feel odd and a little uncomfortable in a weirdly erotic comfortable way…

And now I’ll feel very self-conscious fondling my Sweet-one in public…

S.O.B.

She won’t and therein lies one of the differences between whistles and women.

Delrina Busman doesn’t like to be touched much at home, but she loves to travel with me and get frisky; she turns green with envy (literally) should i even consider taking another out with me.

Sexy traditional Justina Copeland is really built - I mean wow, bold and brassy - and generally keeps me busy at least one day of the weekend.

Arlene Abell keeps me company on those introspective nights - a glass of single malt, a good book and her is all I need - a bit austere, but sophisticated and well rounded - not to mention very bright.

Yet, when I just want to relax every day without thinking too much, just getting comfortable and being alone with my special ladies, there’s Barbara Burke and Suzie Sindt just as natural as can be. definitely women of the earth singing together with me.

And how could i forget Katie Scarlett O’Riordan - that crystaline beauty, woman of my dreams who graces my path on that special occasion.

There are so many others - the uniquely exotic Piradhu Parkhurst, for example - ah, I’m a lucky man.

This may be a good time to say yes Houston, we have a problem, albeit shared by many.

Philo

I said it before and I’ll say it again:

creepy

…not sure if I’m in the right forum all of a sudden ; )

Deisman

Duplicate post.

lol, i know what you mean. Maybe it was a risky ‘theme’ to start with, although Philo’s post definitely tells me something about those other whistles that we just wouldn’t get from the ‘normal’ descriptors. Nice one Philo. I kinda hope someone puts up one, say about ‘if whistles were cars’ or ‘beers’ or something.

In truth, it does seem we have too much time on our hands…
