Yeah , it was sold beginning of april but up for sale again yesterday. auction was cancelled by ebay today:

We removed the listing and canceled your bid because it appears that the seller’s account was used by someone without the seller’s permission. The seller’s trading privileges might be temporarily suspended while we investigate. Because of privacy concerns, we can’t share more details."
Seems someone hijacked the seller’s account.
has anyoyne experience with these south african concertinas?

I put the instrument up in the first place Everything after that is pure scam. I believe there were two scam attempts. A better forum for concertinas is the Buy and Sell in www.concertina.net. Scams are regularly listed and commented on by members of that forum who are on top of such attempts.
The instrument sold on EBay, and has been paid for. The person who bought it is a reputable dealer of instruments.
The So. African concertinas play very nicely and are solidly made. I thought it was a bit large (octagonal) and had 10 fold bellows, which aren’t desirable for Irish Trad. It sounded very good though - like a good old Wheatstone. I bet they’d be better for English (morris dance) and classical rather than for Ir. Trad.

I believe this is third time on this one.As I said, I sold the “original” a couple of weeks ago.
It’s unlikely that this is a legitimate auction –
especially considering that he’s using my pictures and description.
There oughta be a law…
