SOLD: M&E original polymer flute

Sale Pending A sale is pending as of 6/01/05, if anything changes, I will repost. Thank you!

This is the standard M&E that is not being made any longer. Michael Cronnoly decided it would be easier to concentrate his efforts on one model, the Rudall & Rose, and stopped production of this model just recently. It’s a shame more people didn’t find out how good this one really is, because it is just that, a darned good flute!

This has the wide metal rings, and the cut away (on the far side of the hole) or split embouchure, which I really like; it gives it a deeper, crisper tone (and I wish mine had it). It has the brass tuning slide, and the head is fully lined.

This has small holes, is very expressive, and easy to play, with a great tone. It can play sweet, and it can honk, it just depends on your input.

A picture on M&E’s website of the wooden flute with rings looks just like
this polymer flute. Here’s the link:

I’m not exaggerating how good of a flute this is. I can’t imagine the R&R being better, but that one has many followers too. I believe one of the differences is that the R&R has the old flute scale, and if you are not used to it, it can be harder to play in tune than this one.

I am selling this for a friend, as I’ve had it for a while to try it out. I will miss it when it is gone, that is for sure! It is in excellent condition, and is a more recently made flute, maybe a couple of years old or so.

This is not a light flute, but you do get used to it. And, believe me, this is one worth getting to know! And you can leave it out, ready to play, or take it to the session, or take it camping. No worries and little care needed, and a great sounding flute!

I can take PayPal if it is a direct debit from your bank account (no credit cards), or a US Postal Money Order works too.

Any questions or interest, email me or PM me off board.

Thanks!

This sounds like a great flute at a good price. I found that the split embouchure makes it an easy player.

Last chance before I send this back to the owner next week, at her request. I will miss it very much! :sniffle: Good flute!
