Since I just bought a delrin Cochran, I no longer play or need my Billy Miller bamboo D flute. See Doc Jone’s website irishflutestore.com under “Miller” in the “Flutes” section for more info. I’m asking $40 (that includes the shipping), nearly half off what it would be new. I’ve modified it to bring the low D up (it was too flat for my ear) and slightly undercut the embouchure to open up the sound and make it easier to play.
This is a great choice for someone just starting out on simple system fluting, or someone who wants to add a good bamboo flute to one’s instrumental arsenal.
I have played this bambo D in a number of sessions and found it performs well and plays right in tune (A=440). Folks at the session enjoyed it as well.
