Sold: Classic Burke Brass Pro D and C

I hope someone wishes to become the owner of a pair of Burke Brass Pro D and C whistles. These instruments are non-black tipped. They were voiced by Mike, for me, to be very even over the two octaves and to have excellent and precise playability. I will sell them separately, but as a set, they are winners. They play very much like the matched pair they are.

The C, specifically, is interesting in that it is a narrower bore than is standard for Mike’s current C whistles, and the sound is particularly sweet and full.

Both of these whistles exhibit a tiny bit more chiff than with Mike’s current Brass Pros…And yet this still leaves them with a relatively pure sound. They are both truly fine instruments. I simply cannot justify having two sets of Brass Pro D and C whistles in my possession…Both instruments are in superb condition…

Price: Brass Pro D: $85, including shipping within continental US
Brass Pro C: $95, including shipping within continental US
Prices negotiable within individual circumstances

Best to all.

I’m so glad you added this sentence - I thought the world was changing – Byll selling a burke? Impossible…

If i hadn’t just bought a Reyburn set, i’d go for this. I bet these are wonderful whistles; i hope they go to someone who can appreciate and enjoy them.

Tom: Every time I sit and think about actually selling these whistles, I begin to think I have made a mistake. I simply cannot justify having a double set…
Best.

If one gets stolen or sat on, you’ll wish you had kept them. Joanie Madden has two matching flutes, in case something happens to one of them. There’s justification.

Truly a good point, Jessie.

Wish I could afford to follow your advice…And yet, if something does happen…

Best.
