Does anyone know what kind of software can be used for harmozation and background? Dave Auty’s version of Planxty Fanny Power would be a good example of what I’m referrring to.
You might want to try something from Sonic Foundry. ACID comes with prefabricated sound loops, and you can create your own.
Personally, I use Cool Edit 2000 (from Syntrillium) with the Studio plug-in. I’ve found this best for my purposes, since I play more than one instrument and I like to stack the tracks. It is not that easy to use in the recording phase, but it is easy to use to make MP3’s.
Anyway, there are lots of good studio programs out there, so choose whichever best meets your needs.
