One time in school we were doing a play and we sang a song that went(as most as I can remember)

Candles burning
…turning(?)
…night
The last line may have had something about a winter night, I’m not totally sure.
I can vaguely remember the melody but I’ve done lyrical searches and a lot of Hannukkah songs have those lyrics. Not necessarily in that order, but it turns up a bunch of results and I can’t find the one I’m after.
Anybody know?
The closest I can remember goes:
Hanukkah, Hanukkah,
Festival of Joy,
Oh what fun it is to
be a Jewish girl or boy.
Here’s another:

I think I know it. Does it have are verse that says:
“Tell your friend Veronica

This is what I dug up from my elementary classes… the most commonly learned Chanukah song in american schools as far as doing an actual play is:

Sevivon to play with, Latkes to eat.

Sounds like this may not be what you’re looking for, but I’ll keep digging. If I find anything else that might be close I’ll post it.

I’ve found the songs mentioned, too, but they’re not it.
It was sort of an upbeat song, it’s hard to describe it, but I can hear it in my head (not that that helps or anything). It’s been about 10 years ago.
The lyrics may have went like this..
(Oh[?]) Hanukkah, Holiday(s[?])!
Festival of Light(s[?])!
Candles burning,
(People[?]) turning,
(On A Winter’s[?]) night!
You held Hanukkah out, like Hanukkaaaaaaaaaaah, Holidaaaaaaaaays, Festivaloflights(really fast).

Alas, with a few exceptions the repetoire of Hannukah songs is far lamer than that of Christmas! For some reason, even though I’m Jewish, as soon as I pick up a low D whistle I want to play O Come, O Come Emmanuel. Gorgeous.
