I just saw on The Session where some lucky person bought two John Sindt whistles, I believe one in D, the other in C for a whopping $2.oo apiece. Talk about a great day in any whistle enthusiasts book! ![]()
The Sindt whistles were purchased in a thrift shop along with some others including a Mark Hoover. Nice find. ![]()

including a Mark Hoover. Nice find.
I may know this maker.
Aye Mack,
My apology on the typo. I think you probably know that maker better than anyone. ![]()
Again, sorry about the flub.

I love thrift stores, usually for books.
But also for instruments now. Always hoping to find and old Gen of Feadog, no luck so far.
I’d love to find one of those rare Mark Hooper whistles.
Best wishes.

With fipples and tone holes?
Philo
Tipples and phone holes…
Best wishes.

I once found one of those, but it had a hole in the bottom. ![]()
