Silicone Padding? Could someone tell me how?

I have searched and searched the net on how to silicone pad your flute with aquarium sealant, I can’t find much. Does someone have a site with instructions. I would like to feel a little more comfortable knowing how to do it before I spread that junk all over my flute ignorantly.

Pat Olwell used this type of pad on an antique no-name flute I have that he restored; they work perfectly–probably better than any other type of pad–perhaps he’d describe his method if you asked him.
