In my own house, that is. I don’t know how many evenings I will be able to sit here and post to the board. There is so much to do. It feels strange and yet not strange being here, after 7 months of being in makeshift digs in somebody else’s basement. It’s starting to feel like home but I haven’t been able to establish a routine yet, and not knowing where things are is playing havoc with my productivity. Short term memory and attention span is also affected - I go upstairs to look for something, get to the top of the stairs and promptly forget why I came up in the first place, or get distracted by something else that needs to be done. But I will establish order here, somehow. Most of my stuff is still in storage awaiting smoke removal, so I eat off a small glass display table and sleep on a sleeping bag on a donated twin bed, but I am happy just to be back in my house and have heat and light, and new carpeting and everything. I am grateful for the support of the whistlers here, and a special thanks to Dan Bingamon who sent me new toys to play with for when the workload begins to overwhelm me.
Happy New Year, everybody!
