I was looking for a site that might have the sheet music for an O’Carolan tune known as the Hawk of Ballyshannon. The liner notes on the CD–vol. I of the Narada 2 CD compilation–refer to a Charles O’Donnell and a Katherine O’More. I have looked at JC’s ABC Tune Finder and the Session plus two O’Carolan websites and have come up empty.
I’m not sure this would be what you want, but it’s worth a try. You have to scroll about halfway down the page. It the Fiddler’s Companion site. I haven’t been able to get the ABC’s to convert to standard notation using the Concertina.net free converter. I know very little about ABC’s so I hope you know more. I actually googled the title first and found it that way. Sometimes that seems to work better, other times not.
I know little about ABC’s also, but I found if you remove the spaces between the lines on the ABC from the above site, (after converting to text) it then works at the Concertina.net converter.
Well, thank you very much. I just tried it and it worked! I pasted it in and then, just as you said, deleted the space between each line. I never would have figured that out!
