I first heard a version I liked by Alan Stivell
in his Reflections (?) LP.
My ex. would sing that version with mountain dulcimer.
I don’t like Van Morrison’s rendition.
My favourite rendition is by Esther Marshall
who sang it with us at a little private jam session we had
at Durham Folk Festival in 1985. I have it on cassette. I would like to tidy up the recording and publish it but I do not know her whereabouts to obtain her permission.
