Shaw low A and Susato low G

I’m thinking about visiting this person tomorrow and checking out his whistles for sale. Anyone have any experience with them? I’m considering the Susato Low G and the Shaw Low A. I’d also be interested in the Blackbird C if it’s a lot one as well.

Low A as opposed to high A?? :astonished:

J/k… I’ve got a Bb, which shouldn’t be too different. It’s a nice whistle. It has good volume, and IMHO a remarkably strong bottom end (which the higher Shaws don’t have at all – most probably that’s due to the metal-covered fipple block of the Bb and lower). But as the disclaimer says, it does require a lot of air.

However, those Shaws don’t seem to be everyone’s cup of tea… but at that modest price I guess you can’t go wrong anyway.
