I’m trimming my collection of instruments to those that I regularly play.
I’ve a nickel silver Shaw A whistle which I bought new in 2004 and rarely played. It has a very nice mellow tone, particularly nice in the lower octave. It has a few small dings along one side (see final photo), but nothing that affects the sound. The conical bore means that the stretch is quite manageable.
Price? The same whistle is £40 new from the maker. First reasonable offer will be accepted. Buyer pays actual postage from Quebec, Canada.
Trade? What have you got? ITM CD, particularly uilleann piping. I’d even consider a nice big bag of seasoned Californian Arundo Donax. Sorry, but I already have one autographed pair of Paddy Moloney’s boxers, so offers to trade such items will not receive a reply …
