There questions are more numerous and more difficult that the Hobgoblin competition recently featured, though the answers are all on the site; but then the prize is better too, a Cillian O’Briain ‘improved’ nickel Feadog whistle!
I got the chance to play one when I was over meeting Steve, and it was a gorgeous sound (the whistle, not my playing of it). Alas my budget wouldn’t cover one as well as the Tony Dixon Brass Slide, and Tony won out!

Ooops! Actually they weren’t all there. One was missing, but - amazingly - all the answers that came in, before I put it back, were right!
The first competition will keep going until the end of May. I’ll be interested to hear of any suggestions you might have for the next prize, starting in June - within budget constraints, of course!

A day pass to Shanna Quay could be a fun prize! From your online catalog and the pics on your website I think I’d have a great time exploring your shop and trying out some of the instruments and browsing through the books and CD’s. The cost wouldn’t be too excessive… I think airfares are only about AUD$2,000 return… Well within budget!
Day passes we can do! Week passes even. Free bodhran lessons even, no problem. Shanna Quay has even been known to buy its customers beer and soup!
Flights and accomodation? Ah well, maybe when we sell a few more whistles!
