Shameless self-promotion for a good cause

Through the miracle of modern technology etc fiddler Armand Aromin and I will be doing a web concert on November 25th at 9pm EST. All the proceeds will go to Doctors Without Borders for the Philippines relief effort.
The idea, for those of you who have not encountered this, is that it is a live web show that you can watch from the comfort of your room, on a computer. You pay whatever you feel like or nothing at all. You can heckle us live or make tune requests. You’ll just need an account, and you can find our listing at

Flat pipes and fiddle. What else is there?

Hi Bensdad,

I would not call this a Shameless Act but a Selfless act.

Our nation was struck by the Strong typhoon Haiyan (for reference http://blogs.scientificamerican.com/observations/2013/11/12/was-typhoon-haiyan-a-record-storm/); and because of this many lives were killed and houses displaced.

I could not thank more than enough for the nations who have helped and individuals who raised money in their every little way they can to raise funds (concerts, selling pre-loved items, selling home made lemonade/ food, spreading awareness, repacking of relief goods, etc.)

Thank you for your support for our nation. The area struck by Haiyan has little medical attention due to the lack of doctors here in the Philippines.

The very little way of supporting those doctors you have mentioned is but a big help for the victims of the Visayas area.

I know how hard it is to raise funds as I, a part-time local missionary have been experiencing that (to the point that I sold my whistles :frowning: , perfume and clothing). Nevertheless, by faith I pray that the Lord grant you favor in this fund raising activity of yours.

The majority of news ( like http://kickerdaily.com/maraming-salamat-for-showing-us-all-how-to-live-cooper-thanked-the-filipinos/ only covers the major cities and some of the hard to reach areas were hardly given any attention, that is why some Missions team target those areas.

Our Missions team is assigned to Jaro, Leyte of the Visayas Region and we are still raising funds as well.

Please pray for us too.

Regards,

Angel
