Shaking my head in dismay.

What exactly is the point? The line that gets me the most is:

“People travel from all over the world to compete and I can’t wait to meet them and find out what it is that drives them to play.

Play what??? :boggle:

Hmmmmm…Maybe I should go for a Doctorate in Gene Pool Filtration.

i play a mean air low whistle…

Hey man! Don’t be mean, play nice!

… rather sad, really.

Hair guitars? HAIR GUITARS? They are making guitars out of hair? That’s horrible. Why, why, there’s probably some poor helpless bunny that is giving it’s life just so someone can go around playing “Smoke on the Water”. Why would someone play a guitar made out of hair? It probably doesn’t sound very good, and…

“Ah, Rosanne, that’s AIR guitar. Not HAIR guitar. It’s when people pretend they are playing guitar along with a recording.”

“It’s not a HAIR guitar?”

“No - it’s AIR guitar.”

“Oh… nevermind…”

A pub near here has an annual Air Guitar competition with a Fender Strat and a years lessons for the winner.

What I am wondering about is why does Fly read a Manchester Newspage???

Slan,
D.

And when she has an answer to that question, she’ll get a PhD and maybe share the answer with the rest of us. Of course if the answer is that they are otherwise normal mindless exhibitionists, it won’t be news and we’ll be left to wonder “why?”

That is worthy.

I always assumed air guitarists were people who would really like to learn to play guitar but lack the motivation, intelligence, and basic balls to actually make the investment of time, money and effort, and are too busy watching MTV.

Now I realise for some it’s an end in itself. Sad. lloking on the bright side, this does make you admire karaoke singers more.

Off to practise my air button box and scrape my air fiddle. Never a wrong note.

It’s a state secret.
