In the Dubliners song there’s a word in the chorus I could never make out.
“And if it was illegal than the lawyers they would sue
…and away the girls would run,
and if it wasn’t plenty than the ? would get none.”
Does anybody know what this word is? Sounds a little like ‘gopher’.
