Seth Hamon chanters from www. Swedish Bagpipes .com just wanted to mention to anyone looking for a budget alternative to get them going I just took delivery of a poly cast concert D chanter by Seth Hamon, WOW!! What a piece of kit very neat very light but well constructed and plays like a dream in both octaves. It also has a very wood like texture to it.To be honest, I bought it as a bit of a gamble to get my grandson going, but hey he’ll have to share it now. I have tried a few of the budget chanters over the years including a david daye (which I was very pleased with) alsothe dreaded Pakistani ones
. But this one does it. Traditional Britton style cane reed and it played straight from the box. Modern Technology hey this might be the way forward. Such a great value for money Chanter. I noticed he also does a practice set at an equally competitive price
As soon as I can I will try and upload a sound file
Happy Piping best wishes

“They’re magically delicious!”
If any of you don’t know my story I am one of those persons who bought a set of…you know the rest. Anyway, a bag and bellows from Seth Hamon just arrived and they are beautifully made and are of great quality. I am waiting on a chanter from David Daye and after that I will be ready to start the journey. Seth did a great job, we talked about what I wanted and made the stocks to fit David’s windcap. Very pleased I can not wait to get going. Seth posted a picture on his website of the bag and bellows he made for me.
