I was just wanted to get info from anyone who has heard or has D drones from Seth Gallagher, what are they like sound wise, are they loud, do they have a buzzy sound & how would they compare to say Joe Kennedy D drones. Would really appreciate some info. Thanks.
Gallagher drones rock. They aren’t too loud but they are far from quiet. Great tone and buzz from every set of Gallaghers I have heard. Haven’t spent time in the company of a Kennedy set, but from every recording I have listened to would suggest they also rock… dude. 
You would have to talk directly to Joe K to see what you want. My drones from him are actually for a D narrow-bore set, but that’s the way I like them. Your tastes may differ.
