Does anyone know of sessions that are more beginner friendly in the West Suburbs? I currently attend the Kerry Piper one on Wed. nights and was thinking of attending another during the week just to hear different players/tunes. It would be especially helpful if anyone knows of later ones since I generally don’t get out of work til 9pm.

Well, there’s the Ballydoyle in Downers’ Grove but be prepared to run with some big dogs.
If you want to go to a session where you might be certain of participating more, you should be prepared to brave a little traffic and come into the city. Check thesession.org, there’s a few listed there…most of the weeknight sessions start around 9PM.

There’s a session in Naperville, on every other Monday (Quigley’s). A lot of the people of the K.P. session go there too. Ask Bob or Jeff. I think there’s something in Schaumburg (place called Curragh), but i’m not sure. Susan in the K.P. is your person if you want to see the high-power sessions in Chicago – the “trifecta” (i stay away because i’m afraid).
As Pat said, go to www.thesession.org, click on “sessions” and do a search.
