Hi!
I’m in New York for a week with my band. I hope I have time to visit a session or two. Any places that I shouldn’t miss if so?
All the best,
Markus

Lillie’s and Brass Monkey are by far the best.
I like Dempsey’s on Tuesdays. Rotating guest leaders. Very welcoming when I visited back in September. Late that evening a regular brought in members of a touring bluegrass band from Norway. Some of them were well versed in Irish music and fitted right in!

Landmark Tavern session on Mondays is also good. Both sessions start around 8 pm.

Yeah, what Ming said. “Landmark Tavern session on Mondays is also good.”. I’ve had a couple of great nights there - would definitely recommend it.

If anyone is around and interested Jidder (www.jidder.nu) is doing a showcase at Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater (10 West 64th Street) tomorrow night. The showcases starts at 8PM and we are doing our 20 min performance at 9:30.
Free entrance.
11th St Pub on Sunday nights is great as well.
