does anyone know of any sessions in the albany ny area?
I’ve gone several times to one in troy, which is very close to Albany.
It’s in a pub. Sorry can’t remember the date or name (westend pub?)
but if you search or call folk music stores you may find it.
Also there is a board devoted to this info, if you haven’t checked it already.
There are a few - I live a bit too far north to get down there often, but might travel more in the spring/summer. One is sponsored by the local Comhaltas branch at the Albany Hibernian Hall (375 Ontario Street) - their website says every third Sunday of the month, 'cept for July and August.. Can’t vouch for it, as I’ve yet to attend.
Saw you were in Cambridge, NY - I’m about 1/2 hour east in VT - and was going to ask you if there was anything happening in Cambridge. Seems to be a session or two over in Saratoga; met a few folks who wandered over to my area from there, at a session I sometimes frequent in Bondville, VT.
