Well I should have checked with my wife BEFORE I bought her a Burke Aluminum D Session whistle…SUPRISE !!! was on me,The whistle has never been used - no lips have ever touched it…After much research for my wife’s suprise birthday gift I think I chose a good whistle - Burke…I paid $170 for it and think that is still the price…Asking $130…My suprise is your gain…Thanks for reading.
boy, you’d have thought with all the research you did, you would have checked with us first before buying this. just curious, why didn’t your wife want the whistle? where’d you get the whistle that you can’t just return it?
Returning it would be my suggestion as well except for the fact that it appears from the $170 price that it was purchased quite a while ago since they’ve been $190 for some time now.
But unless you’ve already tried, it’d be worth checking with the vendor. Under the circumstances, they may have an understanding heart and take it back. As far as I know, there are only three Burke vendors: Mike himself, Song of the Sea, and The Irish Flute Store. Whoever the seller is, it’d be worth a call since you’d be taking a $60 loss selling it. It’s a shame your surprise didn’t work out as planned. I’d have been elated!
