Selling Advice?

I am at a crossroads. I have two sets - a Lynch half set and a “combo” full set by Chris Langan / Alan Ginsberg and I am thinking I really don’t need two sets and that I should sell one - or both. :confused:
( Having had both a full set and a half set I’m now thinking that a single 3/4 set would be better suited for my playing. )

If I sold the full set I’m sure I’d have to let it go for below “market value”. I mean the Langan chanter is awesome, and quite rare, but the Ginsberg work, although good, has it’s own “unique reputation” among some buyers.

I am wondering, however, what the current resale value is for Kirk Lynch sets? Is he still considered a real “sought after” pipemaker? Is there much of a depreciation for his work or does it hold it’s value?

At this point Royce, I’m not sure about price really, due to not having decided which one to sell.

Thanks to those who have written to me privately with their good ideas and interest. I have figured out that the Langan/Ginsberg set should go for a very reasonable price indeed, but the Lynch set, given it’s condition and popularity, would most likely go for a price closer to market value.

I am weighing my options and should make a decision soon. At that time I will do up a proper posting with pictures, asking prices etc… To be fair, I will give advance notice to those who have already shown an interest.

it’s hard to beat a Lynch set, should hold its value quite well.
