Not to long ago I was conversing with a gentleman (I think he was in Texas) about a set of small pipes he had on ebay. He had them converted to bellows. Does anyone know who this is and how I can contact him?

Was it Seth Hamon, who goes by “Texasbagpiper” on this board? I think he has made small pipes already and recently commented that he was getting a new reamer that was a Hamish copy. Hamish Moore make excellent pipes.
Wasnt me, I only make mouth blown smallpipes, and yes the border pipe reamer is on the way… cant wait… I’m still moving and getting shop set up at a new house, and the only work I’m doing right now is finishing up a set of bellows for the wife of a friend of mine…

Perhaps you mean Ray Hughes of Lubbock? He makes GHB, SSP and Border Pipes, bellows and mouth blown.

Sooooo, how short was this Scottish small piper? Under 5 feet ??? 
I cant wait to see Rays Border pipes, his website has said Coming Soon for 2 years now… Hmmmm… I’d better call him up and tell him to get to turn’in… 
thanks for the help, It didnt sound like he was a maker although he could be. I thought he was an Uilleann piper because he had his small pipes modified for bellows. I cant find the ebay listing as it was a few months ago and my computer went Tango Uniform so my correspondance was lost also.
Smallpipes are just as likely (if not more) to be bellows blown than mouth blown. The mouth blown variety are usually for Highland pipers looking for an alternate bagpipe without the daunting challenge of the bellows (though there is historical documentation of mouth blown Lowland pipes).

This thread was brought to my attention by a friend of mine. I recently put a set of smallpipes on ebay that I had converted from mouthblown to bellows, and I live in Texas, so maybe it was me?? This was two or three months ago I think.
