Hello Folks:
I have a really nice Michael Burke Aluminum Low E-Flat Whistle, currently listed on his site @ $300. It has the optional–and impeccably engineered–movable lowest finger hole. The circumstance for which I acquired it has changed. I am inclined to swap it for something of comparable value in the Low A to Low E range with the possibility of other compensating factors thrown in by one party or the other. It is like new and in very fine shape. I am trying to figure out the best way to say something along the lines of “I don’t play it good” or something to that effect. Its size puts it right at the edge of my comfort zone, so to speak. (Thanks in advance for the unsolicited suggestions about the Piper’s Grip.) For better or worse, this fine instrument is languishing. There is a free E-Bay deal right now, but I would prefer to keep this one in the family, so to speak. If there is no interest, I will put it up for auction.
Pictures, available upon request, but I will have to shoot them in the light of day. Any sound clip I might provide would fall way short of doing justice to this fine instrument. If anyone in the metro NYC area is interested, give me a holler and you can try it out for yourself.
Be Well,
Tom D.
