Searching for a tune...

I heard a guy sing an irish song last night, I think it’s called “blood on the rose” or “Grace”. I would like to try to play this on the whistle, does anyone know where i can find examples of this tune.

Can you remember who sang the song. I did a Google and JC’s Tune Finder using “Blood on the Rose,” as the title with no hits on either. The title Grace is to generic to search.

I did find a little more information. The tune is probably named " I see his blood upon the rose" it is about a man named Joseph Mary Plunkett who was executed for his participation in the rising of 1916 in Ireland. Unfortunately I have yet to find any examples or written notation of the song except the one I heard last night.

Is there sheet music available for the Tune ‘kidnapped’
