The last time when I could read about Seamus Tansey’s famous letter to a box player was while I could still access a thread in an internet forum (http://foot.ie right?). Now, it appears that they’ve did something to their forum, so it’s no longer there I assume, because I’m sure http://foot.ie/forums/showthread.php?t=18702 was the URL where the forum thread was located..
Any other places on the Internet where I can find the letter in text and the write-up which went along with it?
Have you joined and are you logged in?
I’d bet that it makes a difference.
It may be a recent change.
(from the main forum page, the Off Topic Forum, shows 5,220 threads.
The Off Topic Forum shows 19 if not logged.)
Normally I would be able to view it even if I’m not logged in.
But in the first place it’s not needing an account to view it in the first place, since in that forum I can view the threads without needing to log in. I think that they’ve re-worked their entire forum so the old thread isn’t there any more..
What the heck, try it and see anyway. There’s stuff here that can’t be seen unless you’re a member AND logged in, now. The whole business with Tansey was pretty controversial, after all.
Thanks, kkrell the link still works actually. Guess I got the wrong link from Google..
