For anyone who likes these old Irish songs,John Spillane has a great album out at the moment"Irish songs we learned at school".
I wouldn’t be a great fan of John Spillane’s stuff but I really like this one, as I remember as the album title says ,learning some of the songs at school.An poc ar Buile is on the album .

Both links are great! i love An Poc Ar Buile…I also have a video of Liam Devally singing it. What a robust tune…but i particularly love the way Ennis sings it. anybody know which dialect of irish he spoke?
And also, I am a bit surprised to see Béan Phaidín on the songs we learned at school album. Not so much surprised that he learned it, as I’ve heard the same from others, but isn’t it a bit…violent for school? i mean…
