I was watching a video of Solas I found at the library, from 1998, and I was sort of wondering: Does Seamus Egan play the flute right handed but the low whistle left handed? That’s what it looks like, but I might be off. Anyone know?

Yup. He does.
He started off playing whistle left-handed, but couldn’t find a left-handed flute so he learned to play it right handed. You’d think at some point he’d have switched with the whistle too, but Noooo.

For what it’s worth, Seamus isn’t the only person who does this. I’ve seen a couple of flute players and pipers who play those instruments “normally” and then switch hands when they pick up the whistle.
Whatever turns ya on, I guess…
