Several? How about, let’s see, 12. And three-quarters. Ooh, I’m sold. In all fairness, I am ignoring the shipping. Let’s make it just 12, then. And look! A hammered dulcimer for just $289! Let’s throw a few of those in, too.
the socalled concert hd is a cimbalom of hungarian design, has peddles that provide the same functions as the ones on a piano.
the bridges on a hd, the treble bridge splits the treble strings at about the 2/3s giving playable strings on both sides of the bridge and the bass bridge is far off to one side with playable strings one side.
fly - on that hammered dulcimer, it LOOKS like it may be a 11/12 or some similar set up, with some extra bass notes at the bottom. The right bridge looks strange, like the compenstation is skewed the wrong way.
I’ve not seen a cimbalom “in person” but have seen hammered dulcimers with dampers (John McCutcheon plays one). The dampers are the opposite of the peddles on a piano, you push down with your foot when you want to cut sustain, let up when you want to hold sustain. Confuses the heck outta me. But I don’t play hammered enough to be anywhere near proficiant on it.
I’ve noticed no one has bid on the MD yet. What are you all WAITING for, you gonna snipe at the last second or something???
