Please excuse if someone else already raised this issue. I couldn’t find a similar thread. I realize this probably pales in comparison to the tsunami event but it still bothers me.
I was googling for celtic symbols and ran across this petition to save the Hill of Tara. I can’t believe it! They want to put a 4-lane highway running right next to it. 
Excuse my French but this really SUCKS! 
I visited the Hill of Tara back in 2001 and even though the careless might think it’s just a bunch of mounds, it was really cool to me. Imagining the High King looking out over Ireland in all four directions; people trekking there to have justice metted out. Imagining the fires burning high on the Solstice night. And it’s still so beautiful and quiet all around there; when I was there, you still had to travel down narrow little lanes, and get lost a couple of times before you found it. It would make me so sad to think it gone (with a 4-lane highway next to it, it might as well be). The leaders of Ireland had better pull their heads out of their _sses!
