There is no current website for the San Francisco Tionól as of yet.
I’ll be going… come hell or high water!
Patrick.
I am also hoping to go but still figuring out lodging and all that. May be a last hurrah before leaving for Laos.
Clearly, Patrick is using synthetic reeds that can withstand the heat of hell and the humidity of high water. Let us in on ye secrets!
This I received from Ted K Anderson: <bigsurtapes@juno.com>
It will be Feb. 14(eve) thru 16. We have not finalized the concert venue but everything else is go. Brian McNamara, Benedict Koehler and Todd Denman will be there for sure, along with others. We will post particulars in the next few days when all is firmed up. The tionol will
be free of charge, except for the admission to the concert. We plan to have a focus of small (4 or 5) beginning students per instructor, in
order to give the needed individual attention needed at this level. Intermediate classes will be at a separate time so beginners can sit in
and observe. Benedict may serve double duty and instruct as well as teach reed making, along with myself and others. We will also cover pipe
maintenance and reed adjustment for beginners. E-mail me if you are interested and we will try to get locals to house and supply transportation to those we can.
We hope you can come,
Ted
