Samples/Loops

Uilleann Pipes
1

Hey guys!
First, I want to say HI, this is my first post. Looks like you all got a great forum going here and I look forward to participating :sunglasses: !
I’m a traveling DJ/Producer/Musician of 20 years old. My other passion is dancing/Capoeira. I do all styles and am continually learning all that I can.
My moms part Irish and I’ve always loved Celtic Music.
So anyways, to get to the point, I was wondering if you guys had a section of the forum where you all have your recordings available for download?
Or if anyone one of you all would be willing to be featured on some of my tracks? Not really any big deal or for any Album but for performances and to see what I can do with them.
All I’m really looking for is some Loops of the Uilleann Pipes (and hopefully some other Celtic Instruments) so I can put them on my songs.

Thanks a bunch fellas and see you all around

Theres plenty of really hgih quality stuff on you-tube if your prepaired to wade through the non-high quality stuff.

Seriously though, good luck. Meny have tried to make Gaelic music work in the context of modern electonic music, myself included, and we have mostly all drawen blanks or messey fusions where one part dominates the other.

if you make any headway please post some of your stuff here or in one of the other tech related threads.

… and secure the necessary performance, copyright and re-use permissions from the artists. Which, I believe, is the main point of the OP asking directly here.

It’s a freebie avatar I found ages ago on the Intertubes, but I slightly altered it. So, kind of both.

Precisely.

I will recommend that he checks with sample CD companies like EastWest and BestService. I’ve got a CD in my studio by one of them with Celtic themed loops of all sorts (drums, whistles, fiddle, uilleann pipes, etc.) that I used over a decade ago when I was into electronic music. They are royalty free or the mere act of buying the CD allows you to use them both privately and commercially.

Ah gotcha. Thanks, I’ll need all I can get! I always wondered why Enigma didn’t use Celtic sounds in any of his tracks.
Yeah for sure, man. I’ll post it if I got something that sounds good and worth listenin’ too. If you know what the Duduk Flute is I have a pretty nice track featuring that.

Well I really like! Could be an album cover.

Exactly. Most people that posted their stuff on YT would probably give me rights but to message them all and elminate background noise and such would cause too much hassle.

EastWest is a great company. So they have Loop packages? I’ve been looking everywhere for Celtic Loops but have come up with nothing. The best of what I’ve seen is Celtic Instruments VSTi (Virtual Instruments) but no Loops.
Thanks for giviin’ me the heads up. I’ll look into it.
cheers

Thanks guys for your replies (that rhymed  )

Eh, let’s just pretend it’s proprietary. Anyway, you could do much better.

I’m mildly surprised the phrase “celtic loops” even made it through the ITM-ModOFilter2000 on to this board…
