Howdy boys and girls,
We are most pleased to announce
The 2007 Salt Lake Piper’s Club / Utah Scottish Association Tionol
June 8, 9, 10, 2007
Thanks to the generous support of the Utah Scottish Association, we’re thrilled to have Dublin piper Tommy Martin sharing his talents with us this year.
Registration forms for the June tionol will be up soon on the SLPC Piper’s Club website at http://uilleann.org/Events-Tionols.html , as well as an outline of the weekend’s events, including meet and greet session on Friday night, piping workshop Saturday at the site of the Utah Scottish Games, a recital and house session on Sat. night, and concert on Sunday night (at South Valley Unitarian Universalist Society). On Sunday, more piping workshop, while our grizzled reedmaking veterans dispense their insights in the well-equipped workshop of John Ward in SLC.
By way of a VERY belated update on LAST year’s tionol with David Power & Seth Gallagher, here are some pics at http://faculty.weber.edu/mstevenson1/piping/slpc2006/home.htm The craic was mighty, the sessions epic, the swilling homeric, oh my achin’ liver, etc. etc.
Sadly, Seth was unable to join us again this year, but we’ve promised him heaps of waffles with whipped llama-cream topping the next time he comes out.
Hope to see some of you Chiffers there, and feel free to pm if you have any questions.
Cheers,
Mark
