My eldest, Sarah Wisely, age 20 (veterans may recall it was Sarah who went to Romania last summer and worked in a state orphanage), leaves tomorrow for Guangzhou, China to teach English to Chinese teenage girls in a summer school program. She’ll be there until August 22. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Hey, cool, thanks for the pictures Dale. It seems like Ms. Wisely is getting to see some parts of the world and to help people out all at the same time
Geesh Dale, she’s pretty darn cute. Apparently she takes after her mother’s side of the family, eh?
Dale,
All teasing aside, pictured with your daughter you look even more huggable than I imagined from what I know about you through this website. You and your daughter do look alike, and you reach out alike, too.
Hooray for Dale the Dad and best wishes to daughter Sarah and family.

I would like to give my best wishes and thanks to Sarah for working in my parents’ homeland. My younger brother is currently working in Shanghai and I have several relatives in major cities there. I like Chinese history, culture, literature and music very much. I traveled several cities in China and visited my father’s birthplace (a small village in central China) in 1993. Most Chinese people are as nice and warm as all the other people around the world. I hope your daughter will have a great time there. I believe Sarah will bring her kindness to her Chinese students. I also believe she will bring a lots of friendship and beautiful Chinese folk songs back to US at the end of August.
If you and Sarah have any questions regarding the people of China, their culture and history. Please don’t hesitate to send e-mail to me.
Dale,
We will keep Sarah in our thoughts and prayers. One of our three children is adopted from China, and like all Americans, we spent some time in Guangzhou on our way home in order to immigrate her to the US. I hope Sarah has a great time. Please let her know that their a huge online community of people who have adotped from China that welcome anyone who has an interest in China.
