Rowsome style

You here the term Rowsome style being used sometimes to discribe pipes and I was wondering what exactly defines Rowsome style. Is it just pipes that look like or copied from rowsome pipes or is it more than that ? And if they are not rowsome style what other styles are there?
Are they the most popular style as I think the best makers ( froment , williams ) use rowsome style

I think you’re on the right track, but my understanding of the term is that it refers to the inside of the chanter, not just the outside - bore dimensions, throat, reed size - all the things that go together to make the chanter work and sound according to the dimesions of the Rowsome family design.
