are there any recordings of Roger Sherlock currently available?
recording(s) were made for the Iniscronin (?) label in Slough, UK run by Brendan Mulkere - I would of thought these would only be available on vinyl secondhand
This week I’ve been listening to an album called ‘Irish traditional fiddling’ by Sean McGuire,featuring Roger Sherlock on Flute,with Josephine Keegan providing some very creative vamping on Piano.
It’s on the Belfast based ‘Outlet’ label, reference PTICD 1002 if you want to order it.
The presence of Roger Sherlock on the recording was a major reason for me buying the album,which I got from a local music store.
I have to say that,on initial hearing,Josephine is the understated ‘star of the show’-I’m not usually keen on Piano in I-Trad.
