On a whim I played along with the above song, and discovered it is in Eb. Robbie has never sounded so good!
So I do play non-Irish tunes on the whistle occasionally!
Edited 'cos I missed out the most important bit, must be encroaching Altzheimer’s.

Which above song? I thought Robbie Williams was a singer. Did they name a song after him already (he’s not even Irish)?

Must have be more squiffy that I thunk I woz, it was “Strong”.
Anyway, it was in Eb, Steve, so if you go through your Robbie collection and play along on an Eb whistle, you’ll find it!

Garry Barlow was always my Favourite ‘Take that-er’! We actually share the same dietician!
Diet for good fun!
Very catchy and much in demand when played on a whistle: Road to Mandalay. Lots of room for variation.
Yeah, whistle when you’re winning!
p.s. Martin, Road to Mandalay is fun and do-able to play through, but I tried Strong and have only made the chorus worthwhile/interesting. How’s your version?

Yeah, you’re right, the verse is a bit iffy/dull, but hey, accompanying Robbie on a whistle, it made my girl laugh so it was worthwhile!
